THE CASTLE HUNT - EPISODE SYNOPSIS.

In the Home Realm, the Mixmups dream of living in the perfect fairy-tale castle. They grab their Wooden Spoon and Magical Mixing Box to “mix up the adventure” and go to the Adventure Realm. They meet the Lucky Loover Bird who is dressed as an Estate Agent, and she promises to find them a castle that they’ll all love. She knows exactly what they want! Pockets would like beautiful roses around the door, Spin would like a “fixer upper” and Giggle would simply like a lift. When the Lucky Loover Bird doesn’t show them a castle that meets all their needs, the Mixmups work together to find “another way” to make their dream come true.

SYNOPSIS OF THE SHOW

Pockets, Giggle and Spin, along with assistance pets Yapette and Roller Guinea, love to create imaginary games in their accessible Helter-Skelter House and garden, using toys, costumes, objects, and senses from around the house as inspiration. As the fun builds the Mixmups begin to wonder where their imagination could take them. They place their chosen toys, along with sensory elements such as a ‘roar’ or ‘some coldness’ into their Magical Mixing Box. The recipe for adventure is nearly complete, but there is one more ingredient needed: a secret seasoning of MAGIC sent on the breeze from their kindly neighbour, the mysterious magical Lucky Loover Bird.

With everything in the Magical Mixing Box, the Mixmups grab their light-up Wooden Spoon and ‘mix up the magic’, transcending themselves inside the box for a playful, experiential adventure where they encounter the magical Lucky Loover Bird and a Greek chorus of Wingles who join in with their play. They learn that when it comes to problems and solutions ‘there is always another way.’

Mixmups celebrates the joy of individuality, imagination, friendship, and flexible thinking with disability at the heart of everything we do.
