PBS KIDS Games

PBS KIDS believes the world is full of possibilities, and so is every child. As the number one educational media brand for kids, PBS KIDS helps children ages 2-8 learn lessons that last a lifetime. Through television, digital media, and community-based programs, PBS KIDS wants children to see themselves uniquely reflected and celebrated in loveable, diverse characters who serve as positive role models, and to explore their feelings and discover new adventures along the way.

Games are the #1 way kids spend time on screens, and PBS KIDS is ahead of the curve. Games have been a part of PBS KIDS’ multiplatform content for over 25 years. PBS KIDS offers the largest library of games for kids, with more than 375 across platforms, many of which are also offered in Spanish. The PBS KIDS Games app, which has previously been named the top gaming destination for kids 2-5 years old in the U.S, is a key part of PBS KIDS’ commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of children through curriculum-based media—wherever kids are. PBS KIDS Games not only provides kids with the ability to navigate and play games, but also offers parental controls and resources, including learning more about each TV series with information like intended age and learning goals.

The app includes curriculum-based games, with 20 new games added this year, from favorite PBS KIDS shows, including Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood, Arthur, Wild Kratts, Molly of Denali, Rosies Rules, Work It Out, Wombats!, and new series Lyla in the Loop. The app also offers accessibility features throughout many of its games, such as customizable sound options (main sound, sound effects, dialog sound, and music sound), closed captioning enhancements, and game pause functionality, allowing more kids with varying abilities to play and learn from PBS KIDS content. The PBS KIDS Games app also offers downloadable content for offline play.

New games focused on math, science, reading, culture, computational thinking, the arts, health and wellness, and more are added regularly. By creating an app that hosts all PBSKIDS.org games in one place, kids can easily play their favorite games on the go in a safe environment. All PBS KIDS games offer captioning and audio setting for players.

More than 40 million games are played on the PBS KIDS Games app every month. Since its launch, the free app has been downloaded more than 33.6 million times.
