Launched in April 2007, the Cartoon Network UK channel features compilations, YouTube Shorts, full Cartoon Network episodes, and original content based on our iconic IP across our linear Cartoon Network channel. We mainly feature our most iconic shows such as Teen Titans Go!, Ben 10, The Amazing World of Gumball, Steven Universe, The Powerpuff Girls, We Bare Bears, and many, many more!

We actively base our content on YouTube on insights and statistics data on digital and social performance. If fans and viewers are engaging with certain forms of content more, this feeds our data, and we tailor our uploads to produce more of the content that our audience enjoys and watches.

Starting this summer, we use YouTube as a promotional platform to sneak peek full episodes ahead of every linear premiere on Cartoon Network. This is because YouTube has a track record of being one of the digital tools with the greatest reach and growth potential, offering brand awareness and engagement like no other. YouTube is at the heart of kids’ digital lives, and harnessing the power of YouTube to promote our full episodes felt natural. It was important for us to offer a high-end experience on YouTube, making the most of our library.

We have also observed that the consumption of formats on YouTube is becoming more polarised, with the audience gravitating towards either YouTube Shorts or long-form content, so we address this trend to include both full episodes and shorts in our publishing plans.

Committed to young audiences’ it is important for us to engage with them safety with them on our YouTube channel. This is why we ensure that our channel is marked within the ‘Made for Kids’ content category on YouTube, and this means that we legally comply with COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act). This feature blocks community features and the ability to on videos, which is key in ensuring our audiences privacy and safety when online.

We do not produce demo reels for our YouTube channels, therefore, for our video submission for this entry, is our most popular video on our YouTube channel within this eligibility period – “Spicy Food Fire Breath | Teen Titans Go! | Watch more on Cartoon Network #Shorts”. Since upload on the 15th of August 2024, the video has garnered 20 million + views, 165,000+ hours watched, and we have gained 38,000+ subscribers from the video.

Our most popular videos across the Cartoon Network UK channel includes content from our top programming such as Teen Titans Go! And The Amazing World of Gumball. Cartoon Network UK’s most popular video to date is “Teen Titans Go! | Smile Bones | Cartoon Network”, having gained 213 million views so far.
