Numberblocks World

Numberblocks World is an innovative educational app designed for children aged 3-7, with a primary focus on developing numeracy skills through engaging animated content, quizzes and interactive games. The app is a collaborative effort between the BAFTA award-winning Alphablocks Ltd. and Blue Zoo Animation Studio, working closely with Debbie Morgan CBE from the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics (NCETM) to ensure a structured and highly effective learning journey.

The app's content is carefully scaffolded across five levels, mirroring the progression of the Numberblocks television series. This thoughtful structure allows children to advance through various stages of number skills, aligning with early years curricula worldwide. The interactive learning experience is built around over 100 animated episodes, each bringing essential number concepts to life through vibrant visuals and captivating storytelling.
Numberblocks World offers a diverse range of content to keep young learners engaged and excited about mathematics. The app features mini-musicals, classic comedy sketches, song-and-dance numbers, and even thrilling adventures like escaping from the "Double Dungeon of Doom." This variety ensures that children remain entertained while absorbing crucial numeracy concepts.

The educational journey is further enhanced by a wealth of numeracy games and quizzes. These interactive elements allow children to apply their newly acquired knowledge and track their progress. The app includes three subitizing games, helping children recognize quantities at a glance, and a counting game that progresses from simple counting in ones to more advanced counting in twos, fives, and tens.

A standout feature is the quiz, hosted by Numberblock 6, which serves as a checkpoint for our young learners. This assessment tool helps determine whether a child needs to review previous content or is ready to move forward in their learning journey, ensuring a personalised and adaptive experience.

To coincide with Numberblocks Season 7, a range of times table content has been added to Numberblocks World, including innovative games to support your child with their pre-times-tables skills, games to help your child practise their times tables up to 10 and clips from the show.

The developers' collaboration with world-renowned NCETM experts ensures that the content is not only engaging, but also pedagogically sound. This partnership has resulted in an app that seamlessly blends entertainment with education, making complex mathematical concepts accessible and enjoyable for young minds.
